What happens when you’ve done everything right and still end up with a joker? A therapist with a troubled past attempts to bury the skeletons in her closet with a new life in religion and respectable career in psychiatry. As her new life begins to disappoint her in a snowball of unfortunate events, she finds comfort in one of her patients. Her newfound relationship causes her to make life choices she would’ve never made before.

This screenplay is inspired by the “Joker” movie. I watched the movie on opening night Friday. By Monday, I had written the first ten pages because I felt like as the movie ended, it was the perfect opportunity to introduce Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel. This screenplay has been read by the Naked Angels Miami Chapter and received positive reviews. Two of the actors have graciously volunteered to present this cold reading for you.
